| Call Feeding takes advantage of the good learning ability of sows. A special software trains the sows to recognize an individual call signal and to associate it with getting fed at the feeding station. Afterwards, the feeding is carried out completely program controlled. | By this adjustment, the sows no longer improve their chances for feed access if they fight for the best possible position in front of the feeding station at feeding start. Waiting in front of the station and fighting for front side positions becomes unattractive this way. Hence, the number and severity of injuries decreases. | ||
